Gdansk Higher School of Humanities offers
Gdansk Higher School of Humanities is a non-Public University established in 1999 and is one of the biggest non-Public academies in northern Poland. In 2010 Gdansk Higher School of Humanities Branch in Koszalin was founded and it contributed to the fact that Gdansk Higher School of Humanities now covers almost the whole area of southern coast of the Baltic Sea.
Gdansk Higher School of Humanities owns the accreditation of the Polish Accreditation Committee for all fields of study. In our educational offer we acquire both first-cycle and second-cycle studies and several dozens of specializations at five faculties: Pedagogy, Management, European Studies, Tourism and Recreation. Our university has also a wide range of postgraduate studies and offers nearly 50 unique fields of education. Both first-cycle and second-cycle studies are held in a full-time and extramural scheme.
Each year Gdansk Higher School of Humanities obtains certificates such as “Reliable University”, “Good Academy or Good Job”. We are also the only academy in the region which has received an award in a nationwide competition entitled “The most innovative and creative academy in Poland in creation of job prospects.” Gdansk Higher School of Humanities as the only non-Public University is also awarded the title “Leadership Education Academy.” The patronage of Competition and Certification Program of “Leadership Education Academy” is held by the European Parliament. Gdansk Higher School of Humanities also participates in actions of Erasmus Program. The European Commission granted GWSH an Erasmus University Charter (EVC). The European Erasmus Program gives the opportunity to do part of the studies abroad.
Our University provides highly qualified teaching staff from the best academic centres in Poland. Students are provided with the Institute of Foreign Languages which offers language classes in English, German and Spanish. There is also a dynamic Career Office with hundreds of job offers, apprenticeship and volunteering programs, free training and free workshops as well as offers to participate in different projects and competitions. Gdansk Higher School of Humanities also implements projects co-financed from the European Union resources.
Our institution offers students a beneficial scholarship system and provides them with participation in students academic circles, numerous social and cultural initiatives. We organise nationwide and international conferences and scientific symposiums, possess our own scientific publishing house, rich library collections and access to e-base of scientific publications. Students can also take part in classes of various academic circles, in student theatre, choir, free language courses, use the library with over twenty-five volumes, computer lab and swimming-pool.
The head office and its branch as well as places with conducted teaching classes are located in the very centres of Gdansk and Koszalin.
