Gdansk Higher School of Humanities is a non-state vocational higher education institution, offering first and second cycle study programmes.
Higher education system in Poland and the basis for its operation are laid down in the Act of 27 July 2005 - Law on Higher Education. Its provisions are applied both to state (public) and non-State (non-public) higher education institutions, in which programmes of study are offered on the same basis and upon completion of the same requirements. Higher education institutions are divided, irrespective of their status, into academic and vocational ones.
Study programmes at GWSH are offered as first cycle and second cycle both full-time and part-time programmes. First cycle programmes leading to a licencjat degree last 6 semesters while second cycle degree programmes leading to a magister degree last four semesters.
Both Gdansk Higher School of Humanities in Gdansk and the Koszalin Branch offer 6-semester first cycle programmes and 4-semester second cycle programmes.
Gdansk Higher School of Humanities also offers post-graduate courses, whose comprehensive list is available on the Institution’s website.
Post-graduate courses last from 2 to 3 semesters.
